HIGH PERFORMANCE DIESELS Pittsburgh Power and Long Haul Detailing hosted the Victory Road Truck Show on Saturday, October 3rd. This was our first truck show, and it was a huge success.  97 trucks, antique trucks, a couple Rat Rods, some pickup trucks, and one 1-ton Chevy that was powered by a 3126 Caterpillar Engine. There were vendors selling truck related items, food trucks, plenty of dogs (the 4-legged type), and many people enjoying themselves on a beautiful Western Pennsylvania Fall afternoon. As we travel through life in this trucking industry, we have the opportunity to meet many very interesting people. The weekend of October 4-6, Pittsburgh Power had a booth at the “Made In America” trade show in Indianapolis, IN. Unfortunately, the show was low in attendance, but Pete, Debbie, Jane and I enjoyed spending time with our Max Mileage dealers Mike and Beth Thompson of Indianapolis. We attended the 2019 Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville and wow, what a show it was this year. With over 1,000,000 Sq.-Ft. of show space, it was a challenge to see everything there. Since I’m the new guy, this was my first time there and I was overwhelmed. There was almost too much to see, from the major truck and powertrain manufacturers in the North Wing, to the hundreds of expertly modified and restored trucks in the show n’ shine, it was a lot to take in.
